9x5: The HiPlaces Model

From the 9 Dimensions:
Empower Decision-Making at all Levels

Teachers should be accorded respect and autonomy befitting true professionals. They should have true decision-making opportunities in all areas that impact upon them as professionals and the learning and adjustment of the students for whom they are responsible.   Parents, students, community members, and other stakeholders should also be active participants in informed decision-making. The multiple perspectives which they bring to the school improvement team can serve to enrich and balance the team in which a school is engaged.
